PCR Amplified: Advanced Topics & Techniques
PCR has come a long way since the technology first earned a Nobel Prize. From dyes to droplets, thermal cycling to constant temperatures, learn what’s hot, what’s very cool, and what’s new in PCR!

In this live webinar developed with educators for educators, attendees will advance their understanding of PCR technologies, including quantitative PCR (qPCR; also known as real-time PCR) and droplet digital PCR, and learn about applications for studying gene expression, disease outbreaks, and more. The talk will also make connections to key classroom concepts and highlight free resources.

We recommend that participants have a basic understanding of PCR before attending this webinar. To learn more about PCR, register for our October 18 Get Running with Electrophoresis and PCR! webinar at

This webinar will be presented by Leigh Brown and Damon Tighe. Leigh has a background in virology research and was a former biology teacher. Damon formerly was a researcher at the Joint Genome Institute and a high school teacher. At Bio-Rad both Damon and Leigh help teachers implement relevant and engaging biotech labs through hands-on training and personalized curriculum support.

Note: No continuing education credits or certificates are being offered for attending this event. Attendees will receive an email after the event that they may use as proof of attendance.
