CRISPR Part 2: Hands-On Lab Experience with the Out of the Blue CRISPR Kit

Developed with educators for educators, this live webinar is the second in a three part series and is an hands-on experience that will result in participants doing real CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing.

Together we'll perform the gene editing lab, discuss controls, predict results, and talk about how to troubleshoot any unexpected results.

The first 30 registrants based in the USA will receive materials needed to perform the Out of the Blue CRISPR Kit lab at home or school for free. No equipment is needed - just ice and hot water! Additional registrants, and registrants based in other countries, are encouraged to attend will benefit from the discussions and observing the experiment.

We recommend registrants either attend Part 1 of this series or be familiar with CRISPR and bacterial transformation. Following this event, participants are encouraged to attend the third session in the series; links to register for both events, as well as our series on bacterial transformation in June 2022, will be emailed to registrants and are at bio-rad.com/ExplorerEvents

This webinar will be presented by Leigh Brown. Leigh has a background in virology research and was a former biology teacher. In her role at Bio-Rad, she helps teachers implement biotech labs into their courses through hands-on training and personalized curriculum support.
