Hands On with Bio-Rad AP Labs: pGLO, Algae Photosynthesis, and Biofuels

Join us for a hands-on look at Bio-Rad’s most popular AP Bio labs. We’ll cover how to prep and present pGLO, Algae Bead Photosynthesis, and Biofuel enzyme kinetic lab at your AP Summer Institute.

Participants will receive student workstations for each of the 3 labs, and we’ll be going through the labs during the webinar. We’ll also include tips & tricks and troubleshooting so you can make sure your labs go off without a hitch!

This webinar will be presented by Pam Close and Karen Davis. Karen has been a reader, trainer, and a College Board consultant for AP Biology in addition to teaching the course for more than 20 of her 36 years in education. She has worked with students and educators in both urban and rural schools.

Pam is a retired biology instructor in Missouri. She has taught AP Biology, microbiology, biology, and research for over 24 years at a large public high school and came to science education from a background of plant molecular biology research and clinical cytogenetics.
