She has served as president of NABT (National Association of Biology Teachers) and HASTI (Hoosier Association of Science Teachers, Inc.), served on several advisory boards, field-tested numerous curricula, consulted on the creation of lessons/curriculum by national organizations, and frequently present at state and national conferences as an HHMI and Bio-Rad Explorer Fellow.
